Single Channel Satellite Amplifiers
Single-channels are modular amplification equipment used in medium and large collective installations. This system consists of each unit individually amplifying a terrestrial or satellite channel, so that the headend requires as many single-channel amplifiers as there are channels.
Unlike terrestrial single-channels, where one amplifier per channel is necessary, for satellite signal only one single-channel per LNB is used.
The advantages of modular amplifiers are that they allow the gain of each channel to be adjusted precisely, offering a perfectly flat output spectrum. It also amplifies each channel by up to 50dB, providing a maximum output level higher than that of any multiband or programmable amplifier.
The ICT-2 regulation dictates the mandatory use of monochannels in communities from 30 outlets.
