Satellite Transmodulators

Satellite Transmodulators and IPTV Headends

Satellite transmodulators or IPTV headers convert input signals to another type of signal, for example DTT.

They are very useful in hotels, hospitals, residences, etc. where instead of having to use a receiver at every room, what is done is convert those IP or Satellite channels into DVB-T/T2. This way we can tune  them from each DTT digital television of the building. Reduce the investment and also make it a more comfortable experience for the guest.

Satellite Transmodulators

We have different types of DVB-S/S2 satellite transmodulators. This electronic device receives a modulated signal and extracts the information it carries, modulating it again into a new signal. We find digital transmodulators (DVB-S/S2 - QAM CI or COFDM CI), various transmodulators such as QPSK - DVB-T/T2 + Ethernet Input, or COFDM/QAM. Here you can choose the one that best suits your needs.

IPTV headers

The transmodulators that are capable of modulating IP signals received over Internet into DVB-T/T2 signals are known as IPTV headers.

It is very common to use IPTV headers when we want to distribute channels that are only found on the Internet, as in the case of free-to-air channels in the United Kingdom. As HispaSat stopped broadcasting, a solution to watch BBC in Spain is to have an IPTV receiver along with a transmodulator. DaVinci is a good example.
