Ajax uartBridge: Receiver Module for Integrating up to 85 Ajax Devices

The Ajax uartBridge AJ-UARTBRIDGE enables wireless Ajax devices to be integrated into a third-party security control panel, electronic controller or smart home system. It is a professional solution for expanding an existing installation without replacing it with an Ajax Hub.

It supports up to 85 compatible devices via the 868 MHz Jeweller protocol, with a communication range of up to 2,000 metres in open space. Compatible equipment includes the Ajax MotionProtect motion detector, the Ajax DoorProtect magnetic contact and the Ajax SpaceControl remote control.

Connection to the host controller is provided through a UART serial interface operating at 57,600 baud, using the RX, TX and GND lines, with a 5 V DC power supply. Wireless communication provides encryption, protection against spoofing and jamming detection, making this module particularly suitable for integrators and developers working on new solutions or system expansions. It is not a spare part.

The module acts as a receiver and translates events transmitted by Ajax devices, but it does not operate as a standalone control panel and is not compatible with Ajax hubs. A third-party controller and implementation of the uartBridge communication protocol are required to process the received information.
