An access control integrator installs the AV-ABK702AR lock on a right-hand opening door operated by a card reader. The power supply is managed through the fire alarm system relay so that the Fail Safe mechanism releases the exit in the event of an alarm or power failure. The magnetic sensor monitors the actual door position and restores locking one second after the door closes.
When upgrading an existing wooden or metal door, the installer needs to add remote opening from a video door entry system without recessing an electric strike into the frame. The surface-mounted design reduces the amount of carpentry work, while the timer prevents the entrance from remaining unlocked if an opening command is sent but nobody enters. If the door is opened, the magnetic sensor restores locking shortly after it closes.
