Hybrid cameras for CCTV installation

Hybrid cameras are the ones with best image quality to price ratio.
The advantage of these cameras is that they support the same type of cabling used for conventional analogue cameras, making them an ideal option for upgrading older cameras and improving the quality of a surveillance system, without having to change the entire installation. They work with both analogue and digital DVR recorders. Our hybrid cameras are 4-in-1, i.e. they cover 4 different technologies: HD-TVI, HD-CVI, AHS and CVBS (analogue), and are connected to the recorder via coaxial cable and BNC connectors.
They include a button to switch between the different digital and analogue protocols. Tutorial

New installations can be made at 720p or 1080p quality, investing only a little more than buying an analogue system for twice the definition.

Hybrid Cameras with Balun + UTP

Hybrid cameras have the possibility of transmitting the signal over UTP cabling, as long as we adapt the impedance using Baluns.
This not only optimises the existing infrastructure, but also ensures a simple and fast migration to advanced solutions. This is especially useful for new installations, as it allows a smooth transition to technologies such as IP cameras.  See Baluns at TDTProfessional

Advantages of Hybrid CCTV systems

  • HD video transmission over coaxial cable, 720p (1280×720) and 1080p (1920×1080).
  • Transmission of audio and telemetry over the same coaxial cable (eliminating the need for additional cable in motorised domes, cameras with OSD, etc).
  • Possibility of passing the signal over UTP cabling.
  • Long cabling distances without signal loss, up to 500 metres.
  • Option to mix cameras in the same recorder, being able to use 960H (960×576), 720p (1280×720) and 1080p (1920×1080) at the same time. In this way it is possible to perform a partial migration of an existing installation, keeping part of the analogue cameras, and replacing only the most important ones with HD cameras.
  • Delay-free video transmission. Since the digitisation of the video is not done in the camera as it happens with IP equipment, the transmission is immediate, and there is no small delay in the image existing in IP systems.
  • The installation methodology is the same as with an analogue system. There is no need to acquire new skills for HDCVI or HDTVI installations, as there is for IP installations.
  • HD-TVI is an open standard that can be manufactured by any brand. Therefore, our cameras and DVR recorders are compatible with any other brand on the market that uses the same technology.

The cameras do not include a power supply. This is sold separately. See CCTV Camera Power Supplies
