Do you have 4 satellites and want to carry it with a single coaxial cable? The DISEqC 2.0 switch of Opticum allows you to manage 4 satellites received by 4 different satellite dishes from the same satellite decoder.

This DISEqC is version 2.0, which means that it is an advanced version of switching (it allows two-way transmission, from the receiver to the LNB and vice versa). This serves for the receiver to read the local oscillator of the LNB.

What is a DISEqC used for?

The DiSEqC switches are definitely satellite signal mixers with some intelligence. It really does not make a mix but makes a commutation.

The satellite receiver can request at a given time the channel of a satellite A, and the switch will send the signal from satellite A through the coaxial cable, and another time when changing channels the user can request a channel from satellite B and the switch will send the signal from satellite B over the cable
