2 meter Tecatel singlemode fiber pigtail without sheath and 0.9mm diameter with SC/APC connector at one end. Allows high speed data transmission by optical signal.

The other end has no connector so it can be fused to the fiber of the main cable.

What is a fiber optic pigtail used for?

A fiber optic pigtail cable is made up of a short strand of fiber. A connector at one end that interfaces with the equipment and bare fiber at the other end to be spliced to the fiber of the main cable.

At the exposed end of the pigtail cable, the colored coating is stripped (Coating) and fused or spliced to a fiber or a backbone multifiber.
