Extended Information about the Dahua 2MP Hybrid Bullet Camera with 2.8 mm Lens, 20 m Dual Light and Microphone

Practical Applications of the Dahua 2MP Hybrid Bullet Camera

Example 1: Upgrading a Retail Video Surveillance System with Existing Coaxial Cabling

An installer can replace an existing analogue camera with this 2MP HDCVI bullet camera while retaining the installed coaxial cable. Its 2.8 mm lens provides a wide view of checkout areas, counters or entrances, while the built-in microphone transmits audio through the same coaxial cable when HDCVI mode and a compatible recorder are used.

Example 2: Night-Time Monitoring of an Outdoor Entrance

At the entrance to a warehouse, retail unit or residential property, the camera can use infrared illumination for discreet surveillance and activate its warm white light when a compatible Dahua XVR detects a person or vehicle through perimeter protection or SMD Plus. This configuration provides colour images during the event before returning to IR mode, reducing the continuous use of visible lighting.
