The Ajax AJ-TURRETCAM-8-HL-W 8MP Turret IP Camera delivers 4K resolution, intelligent video analysis and hybrid illumination up to 50 metres. Its white housing is suitable for professional indoor and outdoor video surveillance installations.

It operates in Ajax IP video surveillance systems and can work as a standalone camera, connected to an Ajax NVR or integrated through ONVIF Profile S and RTSP. Designed for new CCTV installations, system expansions and upgrades, it is not a replacement part and forms part of the Ajax CCTV cameras and recorders range.

Its hybrid illumination combines infrared and white light, providing colour video at night when a configured event is detected. The camera itself performs motion detection and AI classification of people, vehicles and pets, without relying on the analytics of another camera or recorder.

The fixed 2.8mm lens provides wide-area coverage, while the built-in microphone, PoE power supply and microSD slot supporting up to 256GB simplify installation. It can be used with an 8-channel Ajax NVR or record locally without an NVR when a compatible microSD card is installed.

Practical applications of the Ajax TurretCam HL 8MP IP Camera

Example 1: Night-time monitoring of access points and loading areas

In a warehouse, car park or commercial access point, the installer can aim the 2.8mm lens at a wide circulation area. The camera maintains surveillance using infrared illumination and activates the white light when the configured event is detected, recording people or vehicles in colour and making visible details easier to review.

Example 2: Expanding an Ajax installation with distributed recording

In a home, residential building or office with an Ethernet network, the TurretCam HL can be added to the Ajax space by scanning its QR code and powered through the same network cable using PoE. The installer can connect it to an Ajax NVR for centralised recording or add a microSD card for local storage, while motion detection and AI classification continue to run within the camera itself.
