Ajax FireProtect 2 SB Wireless Smoke and Heat Detector
The Ajax FireProtect 2 SB Heat/Smoke provides early fire detection by identifying smoke, high temperatures and rapid heat increases. Its built-in 85 dB siren generates an immediate local alert, whether operating independently or as part of an Ajax alarm system.
It combines a dual-spectrum optical sensor with the HazeFlow 2 algorithm, distinguishing smoke from water vapour to reduce false alarms. Its two A1R thermistors trigger an alarm when the temperature exceeds 64°C or increases by 10°C within one minute.
The wireless Jeweller protocol provides a communication range of up to 1,700 metres in open space. QR code pairing, mobile app configuration and the SmartBracket mounting panel simplify installation in new systems and system expansions, including projects built around an Ajax Hub 2 control panel.
Its two sealed lithium batteries provide up to 10 years of operation without periodic battery replacement. This wireless fire detector is intended exclusively for indoor use, does not detect carbon monoxide, and must be replaced when its integrated batteries are depleted.
