The Ekselans AM 361 Kit is designed to receive, filter and boost digital terrestrial television signals in homes where reception is weak or cable losses reduce the available signal level. Its amplifier provides up to 36 dB gain across the 470–694 MHz UHF band, making it an effective solution for systems using mast amplifiers to improve TDT signal stability.
The patented Easy Magnek system uses magnetic fixing so the amplifier can be secured to the mast with one hand. This speeds up installation and improves installer safety when working at height, while remaining compatible with standard masts and supports. The ABS enclosure with self-supporting cover and the tilting amplifier design also make wiring and equipment protection easier.
The AM 361 includes a high-rejection 5G filter, 18 dB gain adjustment, a 114 dBµV output level and a noise figure below 2 dB. The FA QC 242 switched-mode power supply delivers 24 Vdc and provides two outputs for distributing the signal to separate branches, making it especially suitable for projects requiring compact and easy-to-install mast amplifier power supplies.

Example 1. Improving TDT reception in a low-coverage area:
In a detached house located far from the television transmitter, the signal received by the antenna may be too weak to overcome the losses caused by the coaxial cable. Installing the AM 361 close to the antenna boosts the UHF signal by up to 36 dB before it travels through the downlead. Its low noise figure helps preserve the quality of the incoming signal, while the 5G filter limits interference outside the television band.
Example 2. Compensating for losses in a home with several television outlets:
Long cable runs and several distribution points can reduce the signal level available at the most distant outlets. In this type of installation, the AM 361 restores the signal at the mast and the FA QC 242 feeds the amplifier through the coaxial line. Its two outputs make it easier to start two separate distribution branches, while the adjustable gain helps the installer balance the system correctly.
