The Televes 769520 allows a compatible switch to be integrated directly into a GPON infrastructure through its SFP port. This compact solution is ideal for expanding a GPON fibre optic network without installing an additional external ONU, helping to reduce equipment, auxiliary cabling and installation space.
This GPON ONU SFP module operates over single-mode fibre, transmitting at 1310 nm and receiving at 1490 nm, and features an SC/APC connector. It complies with the ITU-T G.984 GPON standard and supports Layer 2 switching functions, VLAN management, classification and filtering, as well as GEM Port multicast.
It is particularly suitable for compatible PoE switches, allowing the GPON connection to terminate directly at the switch while it continues to locally power IP cameras, Wi-Fi access points or VoIP phones. For these projects, it can be combined with other GPON network equipment to simplify the deployment of fibre, Ethernet connectivity and PoE-powered devices.
The Televes 769520 ONU SFP is intended for new installations and GPON network expansions rather than as a specific replacement part.
