An installer can use the PE 8B to upgrade the main entrance of an eight-apartment building, replacing the existing outdoor panel while reusing the installed wiring where possible. Its non-polarised two-wire bus reduces the number of conductors required, provided that the cable continuity, cross-section and permitted distances are checked beforehand.

Example 2: New shared entrance for apartments and business premises

In a new building containing apartments, offices or business units, the panel provides a dedicated call button for each of the eight users. The installer can surface-mount the unit, connect compatible video monitors or audio indoor stations and configure the electric door release for the shared entrance.
