This device is a very compact mini reflectometer that fits in the palm of your hand and will help you perform measurements in the optical time domain, OTDR, VFL, OLS, OPM. This reflectometer tests the integrity of a fiber cable and is used to build, certify, maintain and troubleshoot fiber optic systems.

Among its functions, we can find OTDR, VFL, OLS and OPM measurements.

Como reflectómetro óptico en el dominio del tiempo (OTDR) puede realizar medidas entre 0.1 y 80 km de distancia utilizando la longitud de onda 1550nm, permitiendo localizar fallos de fusión, ubicación de conectores y pigtails, pérdidas del cable y roturas de fibra, gracias a la luz reflejada que regresa al OTDR. Como fuente de luz óptica(OLS), nos permite enviar una señal de referencia para que en el otro extremo se pueda detectar la potencia con el OPM (Optical Power Meter), entonces poder calcular las pérdidas del enlace de fibra óptica.
