The Shelly Wave Shutter is a smart controller specifically designed to automate motorised shutters, awnings, blinds, roller curtains and Venetian blinds. Its compact design makes it easy to integrate into door, window and shutter automation projects while retaining manual operation through existing wall switches or push buttons.
Unlike traditional Wi-Fi-based Shelly devices, this model uses Z-Wave radio technology and requires a compatible Z-Wave controller or HUB for operation. This makes it particularly suitable for installers working with Z-Wave home automation systems who require stable communication and integration within a mesh network.
One of its main advantages is precise position control, allowing a specific shutter opening percentage to be selected after correct configuration and calibration. With compatible motorised Venetian blinds, it can also adjust the slat tilt angle for more accurate control of incoming light. In addition, it features power metering to monitor the consumption of the connected motor.
The Shelly Wave Shutter Z-Wave is suitable for both new installations and the modernisation of existing motorised systems; it is not a specific replacement part.
