The Televes Overlight Outdoor FC/APC 1530nm 9dBm Optical Transmitter converts RF television signals from one WideBand satellite and the terrestrial DAB/UHF band into a CWDM optical output. Its 9dBm output power and weather-exposed installation design make it a reliable solution for collective TV distribution over fibre.

It features three female F-type RF inputs for terrestrial, vertical-polarity and horizontal-polarity signals, together with an FC/APC optical output. Installation close to the antennas and WideBand LNB shortens the coaxial cable run before conversion, making it particularly suitable for apartment buildings, hotels, residential developments and professional distribution projects.

The Televes 237517 operates within the Overlight system on the 1530nm CWDM wavelength. Distributing four complete satellites and terrestrial TV over a single fibre requires additional transmitters operating at 1510, 1550 and 1570nm, together with the corresponding CWDM multiplexer. Used independently, this unit converts one WideBand satellite plus DAB/UHF. It is intended for new installations or compatible Overlight extensions, not as a universal replacement.

Its high-screening Zamak chassis supports wall or mast mounting and includes a status LED, external power supply and adapter cable. The 9dBm optical output supports passive networks serving up to 64 users, subject to the calculated optical budget and selected splitting components.
