Practical applications of the Comelit CT416440 KNX Actuator

Example 1. Centralised lighting and blind control in a renovated home

During a complete home renovation, the KNX integrator can install the CT416440 in the electrical panel to control four independent lighting circuits. Alternatively, its relay outputs can be paired to operate up to two motorised blinds. The six SELV inputs allow conventional push-buttons or switches to remain as local control points, while the KNX system manages scenes and central commands. Manual operation enables each relay to be tested directly from the panel during commissioning.

Example 2. HVAC zoning in a small commercial building

In a shop, office or professional workspace equipped with KNX automation, the actuator can control one fan-coil unit or a set of thermoelectric valves, depending on the project configuration. Its arithmetic logic unit can combine internal and external variables to execute logical operations, timers and counters. If the connected load exceeds the relay rating of 16 A at 230 Vac, the installer must use a correctly rated external contactor.
