The Surmedia SMB335 mast amplifier is designed to improve and stabilise Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) reception by boosting the signal close to the outdoor antenna, before losses occur along the coaxial cable. It is a practical solution for installations affected by weak signals, pixelation or intermittent channel reception.
Operating in the UHF 470–694 MHz band, the SMB335 provides up to 30 dB gain, with adjustable amplification indicated on the unit from 15 to 30 dB. Its LTE 5G filtering helps reject mobile-network signals outside the DTT band, reducing the risk of interference and making it suitable for professional TV signal amplification systems.
The amplifier features F-type coaxial connectors, selectable ON/OFF power pass and an outdoor enclosure for installation near the antenna. This configuration is particularly useful for installers who need to compensate for signal losses before a long coaxial cable run or distribution network. It operates in UHF DTT reception systems and can be used in both new installations and upgrades to existing systems; it is not a product-specific replacement part.
