Standard 12 V Relay Base for ECO1000 Series Detectors
The Honeywell ECO1000BREL12L connects conventional ECO1000 series detectors to 12 V DC security or intruder alarm panels. Its internal relay provides common, normally open and normally closed contacts (C/NO/NC) for reliable physical alarm signalling.
The base acts as an interface between the detector head and the control panel. When the detector identifies smoke or heat, it directly controls the latching relay, which remains in alarm until the power supply is interrupted. It is particularly suitable for integrators who need to incorporate fire detection into a security system with a reset facility.
It supports 2-wire and 4-wire configurations, depending on the control panel wiring arrangement. A short-circuit spring enables cable continuity testing before the detector head is fitted, while the tamper-resistant mechanism prevents detector removal without a suitable tool. This accessory is suitable for new installations, system extensions and compatible replacements, including projects using the Honeywell ECO1002ABLA combined detector.
The ECO1000BREL12L relay base combines electrical interfacing, cable testing and mechanical protection in a single component. Its main operating requirement is the power-interruption reset, which releases the latched alarm condition.
