The Hikvision DS-2CD2783G2-IZS is an 8 MP IP dome camera designed for projects requiring 4K detail, precise framing and professional-grade protection. Its motorised varifocal lens allows the field of view to be adjusted remotely between 108° and 30°, simplifying commissioning in entrances, car parks, shops and communal areas.
It operates within IP video surveillance systems over Ethernet and supports IEEE 802.3af PoE or 12 VDC power. The 2.8-12 mm lens can be adjusted from a wide panoramic view to a tighter frame for more distant targets. Zoom and focus are remotely controlled, but camera orientation is manual: this is not a PTZ camera. It is a complete unit for new installations, extensions or replacements within Hikvision CCTV camera and recorder systems.
Motion Detection 2.0 and AcuSense analytics are processed by the camera itself, providing human and vehicle classification for motion detection, line crossing and intrusion events. It also features invisible IR illumination with a range of up to 40 metres, 120 dB true WDR and an IP67 and IK10 housing for outdoor or impact-prone locations. At its maximum 3840 × 2160 resolution, it operates at up to 20 fps.
It is particularly suitable for installers who need high resolution, adjustable optics and built-in intelligence without relying on the NVR to classify targets. Recordings can be stored on a microSD card or managed through NVR recorders for IP cameras, provided the recorder supports 8 MP cameras and the configured video bitrate.
