Dahua 4MP + 2MP Dual-Lens IP Camera with Fixed Lens and Motorized PT Module

The Dahua IPC-PTS2449CP-4E3Z-S-PV-LED combines two lenses in a single housing. A 4MP fixed module with a 2.8 mm lens maintains a wide panoramic view, while the 2MP PT module can be directed towards specific targets. It is an advanced solution within the range of Dahua video surveillance cameras.

The PT module provides 350° motorized pan and 90° tilt, a 3.6–8.4 mm varifocal lens and 6x hybrid zoom. Simultaneous dual-channel viewing keeps the overall scene visible while the operator follows or examines a person, vehicle or area of interest.

The camera independently performs motion detection, SMD 3.0, human and vehicle classification, perimeter protection and Auto Tracking Lite. Its active deterrence function can link warm-light flashing and audible warnings to configured events, helping reduce false alarms and enabling a preventive response.

WizColor technology and warm-light illumination deliver full-colour video at night, reaching 30 metres with the fixed module and 50 metres with the PT module. It includes two-way audio, supports MicroSD cards up to 512 GB, and can be connected to a Dahua PoE NVR or powered from an IEEE 802.3af PoE switch.

Practical applications of the Dahua dual-lens IP camera

Example 1: Monitoring entrances and car parks with target tracking

An installer can position the camera on the façade of a warehouse, business or residential property to keep the entrance and surrounding parking area continuously visible through the 4MP fixed module. When the built-in analytics identify a person or vehicle in a configured area, the PT module can track the target and provide a closer view while the panoramic channel continues recording the overall scene.

Example 2: Night-time protection of yards and loading areas

In a logistics yard, commercial property or residential complex, the Dahua IPC-PTS2449CP can monitor a wide area while focusing on specific intrusion events. Warm-light illumination supports full-colour night video and can operate as a flashing visual warning, while the built-in speaker plays an alarm sound to deter intruders before an incident progresses.
