EK 3-Input VHF/UHF/UHF 30dB Broadband Amplifier
EK CA 383 L2 3-Input VHF/UHF/UHF Broadband Amplifier
The EK CA 383 L2 broadband amplifier is designed to amplify and combine terrestrial television signals received from different antennas before distributing them throughout the installation. Its three independent inputs one VHF and two UHF make it a practical solution for professional terrestrial TV antenna systems requiring several reception sources.
It provides 30 dB gain in VHF and 38 dB on each UHF input, with independent 20 dB level adjustment per input. Output levels reach 115 dBµV in VHF and 117 dBµV in UHF, making the CA 383 L2 particularly suitable for installers working on medium and large communal TV distribution systems where signal losses must be compensated before distribution.
The amplifier operates with VHF (47–230 MHz) and UHF (470–694 MHz) terrestrial TV signals and incorporates an LTE2 high-rejection 5G filter. Both UHF inputs support switchable 0/12 Vdc remote power, up to 100 mA, for compatible mast preamplifiers. It is suitable for new installations and the renovation or upgrading of existing TDT/DTT headends, rather than being a dedicated replacement part.
Overall, the EK CA 383 L2 combines independent input adjustment, high output levels, 5G protection and remote preamplifier powering in a compact unit. It can be installed together with suitable 75 Ohm coaxial cable to create a reliable terrestrial television reception and distribution network.
