The Ajax FireProtect 2 (Heat) Jeweller is designed for early fire detection by monitoring temperature and the rate at which it rises, without relying on the presence of smoke. It is particularly suitable for kitchens, garages and other areas where steam, dust or everyday fumes could cause false alarms with conventional smoke detectors.

Its detection system uses two Class A1R thermistors positioned outside the enclosure to minimise detection delays. The alarm is triggered when the temperature exceeds 64°C or rises by 10°C within one minute, while the built-in 85 dB siren at 3 metres provides an immediate audible warning in the protected area.

This SB version features 2 factory-integrated lithium batteries providing up to 10 years of battery life and Jeweller wireless communication with a range of up to 1,700 metres in open space. SmartBracket mounting and QR code pairing through the Ajax app simplify commissioning, making it particularly convenient for installers who need to quickly add new detection points to an Ajax alarm system. It is designed for new installations and system extensions and is not a replacement part.
