Socket (type F) Jeweller: Smart Plug with Energy Consumption Monitoring

The Ajax AJ-SOCKET-W turns a conventional power outlet into a smart control point integrated into the Ajax system. It allows users to remotely switch lights, heaters, routers and other appliances on and off, monitor their energy consumption and create automation scenarios through Ajax apps, bringing electrical control into the same environment used to manage security.

Unlike a conventional Wi-Fi smart plug, Socket (type F) Jeweller communicates with an Ajax hub via the Jeweller radio protocol, providing a range of up to 1,000 m in an open space. This means that scenarios configured within the system do not depend on a direct Wi-Fi connection between the smart plug and the router. To complete the installation, it can be combined with an Ajax Hub 2 Plus.

The smart plug operates at 230 V and supports 11 A continuously, 13 A for up to 5 seconds and up to 2.5 kW. It monitors current, voltage, power and energy consumption through the app and includes protection against overcurrent, overvoltage and excessive temperature. Its LED ring uses different colours to provide a visual indication of the load level. It is particularly suitable for installers who want to add automation and energy management to an Ajax installation without introducing a separate home automation platform.

The AJ-SOCKET-W is not a replacement part: it is designed for new installations or extensions of compatible Ajax systems. Its plug-in design simplifies commissioning and makes it possible to automate electrical loads without modifying the wiring of the connected appliance. For projects where the actuator needs to be installed inside an electrical mounting box, the Ajax WallSwitch wireless relay can also be considered.
