The Ajax MotionCam Outdoor HighMount (PhOD) Jeweller combines intrusion detection with visual verification to protect outdoor areas from an elevated position. Designed for installation at a height of 2 to 4 metres, it is particularly suitable for warehouses, industrial areas, building façades and large properties where reliable perimeter detection and fast visual alarm verification are required.
Detection combines two independent PIR sensors and a K-band microwave sensor, providing a range of up to 15 metres with 90° horizontal and vertical coverage. Dual detection, together with SmartDetect, adjustable sensitivity and temperature compensation, helps filter common outdoor interference. It is particularly suitable for installers looking to enhance Ajax alarm systems with volumetric detection from elevated mounting points.
Its HDR camera with infrared illumination captures images at up to 640 × 480 pixels for photographic alarm verification. PhOD enables photos on demand, while visual verification can also be triggered by scenarios, schedules and arming/disarming events. It operates within the Ajax wireless system using Jeweller and Wings technologies and is intended for new installations or extensions of compatible Ajax systems; it is not a replacement part. Pairing with the hub via QR code and configuration through the Ajax apps simplify installation, commissioning and maintenance.
