The FTE MODIG S converts a high-definition HDMI video and audio signal into a DVB-T/COFDM digital TV channel, allowing the content to be distributed through an existing coaxial network and tuned on connected televisions just like an additional DTT channel. It is a practical solution for homes, hotels, shops and other installations where the same audiovisual source needs to be delivered to multiple screens without installing long HDMI cable runs.

This HDMI to DVB-T modulator features an HDMI input and an HDMI loop output, allowing the unit to generate the digital TV channel while maintaining a direct HDMI connection to the television located next to the source. It supports video resolutions up to 1080p at 60 fps, MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video encoding and LCN. The source can be connected to the modulator using the HDMI cables available from TDTprofesional.

Thanks to its RF input and RF output with F connectors, the MODIG S can be inserted directly into an existing coaxial TV distribution system. It receives the existing RF channels, adds the newly generated internal DVB-T channel and sends the combined signal towards the televisions. Its adjustable 75 to 110 dBµV output level provides installers with sufficient flexibility to correctly balance the signal. This makes it particularly suitable for professional installations where HDMI content needs to reach several rooms using the existing coaxial infrastructure.

The FTE MODIG S is suitable for new installations, extensions and system upgrades and is not a dedicated replacement part. Its combination of HDMI loop-through, RF pass-through and DVB-T modulation makes it possible to add a multimedia source while retaining the existing TV channels.
