2 SC/APC port optical UAP plus 50-meter pre-connected single-mode 2-fiber cable with LSZH jacket for connection to the lower main room or RITI of the building.
By having the 50 meter cables pre-connected, this kit greatly speeds up the installation of FTTH fiber in an ICT by not requiring to make the connections in each PAU. The kit also includes the screws to fix the terminal box in the final user register.
The main purpose of this pre-connectorized PAU is to eliminate the need for a fusion splicer in ICT installations (Common Telecommunications Infrastructure) in residential or office buildings. The installer checks that the cable run from the dwelling’s RTR to the RITI or RITU (indoor telecommunications equipment room) is less than 50 metres, then routes the cable from the RTR to the telecommunications room, leaving sufficient spare cable in the secondary distribution boxes and connecting it directly at the main distribution point without fusion splicing. These PAUs improve project profitability by making fibre-optic installation in an ICT system faster and more efficient.
