The GTLAN fibre optic PAU with 2 SC/APC outputs and 80 m pre-terminated cable is designed as an optical network termination point or fibre optic outlet for FTTH installations. It provides a ready-to-install solution for connecting the fibre drop cable to the user's installation while reducing on-site termination work.
It features 2 SC/APC adapters and a duplex G.657.A2 single-mode fibre cable pre-terminated at both ends. The 3 mm yellow cable has an LSZH sheath with CPR Dca s1a, d0, a1 classification. The surface-mounted ABS enclosure measures 135 x 75 x 25 mm.
It is particularly suitable for new FTTH and ICT installations in residential and office buildings. When the cable route allows, the installer can fit the PAU in the RTR and run the cable directly towards the RITI or RITU, leaving sufficient cable reserve in the secondary distribution boxes and connecting it at the main fibre optic distribution enclosure for ICT, avoiding fibre splicing during the cable run.
Its pre-terminated design helps reduce the need for a fusion splicer, shorten installation times and improve project profitability, particularly in multi-dwelling developments.
