Overlight DWDM C31 Optical Transmitter for DAB/UHF/SAT
The Televes Overlight Indoor Optical Transmitter SC/APC C31 9dBm converts coaxial DAB/UHF and WideBand satellite signals into a single optical output. It is a professional solution for collective television over fibre-optic networks covering long distances and numerous service points.
It features one 47–694MHz terrestrial input and two 290–2340MHz WideBand satellite inputs for vertical and horizontal polarities. Its SC/APC output operates on DWDM channel C31 at 1552.52nm with 9dBm optical power, in compliance with ITU-T G.694.1 and suitable for properly designed GPON/RFoG deployments.
It is especially suitable for installers working on new Overlight networks, extensions or system upgrades in apartment buildings, hotels and large properties; it is not a dedicated spare part. When integrated into a correctly designed system with amplification, it can contribute to distributing four satellites to more than 64 users, although this capacity applies to the complete system rather than the transmitter alone.
Its optimised electronics and low-loss design help reduce the intermediate amplification required. The shielded Zamak chassis, wall or mast mounting, status LED, external power supply and adapter cable make installation easier in protected indoor telecommunications areas.
