The Surmedia SMB345 mast amplifier is designed to boost DTT signals directly at the antenna, before distributing them throughout the property. Its 40 dB gain makes it particularly suitable for weak TV signals and installations with long coaxial cable runs.
Operating in the UHF 470–694 MHz band (channels 21–48), this LTE 5G mast amplifier filters frequencies above channel 48, helping to prevent mobile network interference that can cause reception problems and picture pixelation.
The SMB345 features switchable DC power pass, allowing power to reach active components installed upstream when required. Its shielded metal chassis is housed inside a protective plastic enclosure, making it ideal for professional DTT installations where reliable amplification and protection against external electromagnetic interference are required. It can be used for new installations or to improve existing TV reception systems; it is not specifically a replacement part.
