Ajax Hub BP Jeweller alarm control panel for installations without mains power
The Ajax AJ-HUBBP-V2-B alarm control panel is designed to protect unoccupied properties, vacant homes, construction sites, rural properties and remote locations without permanent access to mains electricity. This Grade 2 security hub provides a reliable solution for projects where long autonomy and continuous monitoring are essential.
Unlike a conventional alarm hub, the Hub BP Jeweller is specifically designed for battery-powered operation. It supports rechargeable and non-rechargeable internal batteries as well as external zinc-air batteries, making it possible to build highly autonomous Ajax alarm systems for locations where a permanent electrical supply is unavailable or difficult to provide.
Communication with Ajax devices is handled through the Jeweller radio protocol, while Wings enables wireless transmission of photos and large data packets for visual alarm verification with compatible devices. Two micro-SIM slots supporting 2G/3G/LTE provide mobile connectivity without relying on a permanent Ethernet connection. This makes the Hub BP particularly suitable for professional installers protecting isolated properties, warehouses, construction sites or second homes where fixed telecommunications infrastructure is unavailable.
Installation and commissioning are straightforward: the hub can be added to the Ajax app by scanning its QR code, helping reduce setup time on site. It is intended for new installations or compatible extensions of an Ajax Jeweller system and is not a replacement part. For projects requiring visual verification, it can be combined with an Ajax MotionCam detector, allowing captured images to be transmitted through Wings.
