Ajax MotionProtect Plus Jeweller: Wireless IR Motion Detector with K-Band Microwave Sensor
The Ajax MotionProtect Plus Jeweller in black is designed to detect intruders in indoor spaces and immediately send an alert to the Ajax alarm system at the first signs of human movement. Its dual detection technology provides more reliable performance in complex environments where a conventional PIR detector may be affected by thermal interference.
It combines a PIR sensor with a K-band microwave sensor, providing a detection range of up to 12 metres and a horizontal viewing angle of 88.5°. Its SmartDetect algorithm and three sensitivity levels help prevent false alarms, while pet immunity allows the detector to ignore animals weighing up to 20 kg and measuring up to 50 cm in height when correctly installed and configured.
Communication with the Ajax Hub alarm control panel is handled through the wireless Jeweller protocol, featuring encrypted data transmission and a communication range of up to 1,200 metres in an open space. QR code pairing and configuration through the Ajax app significantly simplify commissioning. This makes it particularly suitable for installers protecting homes, shops or offices while reducing cabling and configuration time. It is intended for new installations and extensions of compatible Ajax systems; it is not a replacement part.
Overall, MotionProtect Plus provides dual-technology volumetric detection, tamper protection and a pre-installed CR123A battery with a service life of up to 5 years. It also complies with EN 50131 Grade 2, while wireless coverage can be extended using an Ajax wireless range extender, making integration into larger security installations easier.
