Ajax WaterStop Jeweller: Automatic Water Shut-Off in Case of Leaks
The Ajax WaterStop Jeweller 1/2" (DN15) in white allows you to control the water supply and automatically shut it off in the event of a leak or flooding. Integrated into the Ajax system, it provides effective protection for homes, commercial premises and offices, acting quickly to help minimise potential water damage.
It features a 1/2" (DN15) Bonomi valve suitable for hot and cold water installations and an electric actuator with up to 8.5 N·m of torque. The valve can be operated remotely through Ajax apps or manually using the actuator button and valve lever. It runs on four replaceable CR123A batteries with a battery life of up to 3 years and also supports an external power supply.
WaterStop uses the wireless Jeweller protocol and requires an Ajax hub to operate. When combined with an Ajax LeaksProtect flood detector, an automation scenario can automatically shut off the water when flooding is detected. Water shut-off can also be scheduled or linked to arming and disarming the security system.
Adding the device to the system by scanning its QR code simplifies setup through the Ajax app, making it particularly practical for installers who want to incorporate automated flood protection into an Ajax installation. It is designed for new installations or compatible system expansions and is not a replacement part. It can be integrated with an Ajax Hub 2 control panel to manage devices and automation scenarios within the system.

Example 1. Automatic water shut-off in a home after leak detection:
In a residential installation, an Ajax LeaksProtect detector can be positioned near washing machines, dishwashers, sinks, boilers or other areas where water leakage may occur. If water is detected, the Ajax system can immediately trigger an automation scenario that commands WaterStop to close the main water supply, helping to minimise damage before the property owner or installer can intervene.
Example 2. Scheduled water control in offices and commercial premises:
In an office, retail unit or other commercial property, WaterStop can be configured to close the water supply automatically when the Ajax security system is armed. This makes it possible to incorporate the plumbing system into the building's daily security routine and reduce exposure to unnoticed leaks outside working hours. The valve can also be reopened remotely when required.
