Example 1. Auxiliary power supply for a VERSO+IP touchscreen in a single-family home

In a single-family home with a KNX automation system, an Iddero VERSO+IP touchscreen is installed in the living room to control the HVAC and video door entry systems. The KNX bus is not intended to provide the auxiliary 12 VDC supply required by the touchscreen for its display and IP video functions. To provide this power, an Iddero E-PSU3012 is installed on a DIN rail inside the electrical distribution board. It receives 230 VAC from the mains and delivers a stable 12 VDC output through an additional pair of wires connected to the rear terminals of the touchscreen, ensuring reliable operation without overloading the KNX bus.

Example 2. Replacement of a power supply in an existing Iddero installation
