CM COMPACT PLUS 8S2 Twin DVB-S/S2/S2X to COFDM/QAM Transmodulator
The EK CM COMPACT PLUS 8S2 Twin transmodulator converts digital satellite television services into two RF channels configurable as DVB-T COFDM or DVB-C QAM. Televisions connected to the coaxial network can tune the distributed services directly through the standard aerial socket, without requiring an individual satellite receiver for each screen.
It features two satellite inputs and eight DVB-S/S2/S2X Multistream tuners, with independent 13/18 V, 22 kHz, DiSEqC A/B/C/D and Unicable SatCR/dCSS control. This makes it particularly suitable for professional satellite transmodulator systems in hotels, hospitals, care homes and large residential buildings.
Its intelligent remultiplexing allows installers to select, combine, arrange and reassign services from the received transponders across two flexible RF output channels. It supports NIT editing, SID remapping, LCN/LCN HD insertion, and the passing or suppression of EMM messages and CAT tables. Designed for DVB-T or DVB-C headends, it is a complete product for new installations, upgrades and system extensions, not a replacement spare part.
Programming is carried out from a PC using CM Management software and a USB connection. The modular power supply incorporates RF amplification with an output level of up to 114 dBµV per channel, simplifying integration into collective television networks that can be tested using professional field strength meters.
