The Ajax AJ-SOCKET-B is a smart plug designed to remotely control the power supply of electrical appliances while monitoring their energy consumption through the Ajax apps. Its plug-and-play design makes it easy to add intelligent power management to homes, offices and businesses without modifying the wiring of the connected device.

This Ajax smart plug communicates with a compatible Ajax hub via the secure Jeweller radio protocol, with a communication range of up to 1,000 metres in open space. It supports loads of up to 11 A continuously and 2.5 kW, while the Ajax app provides useful electrical data including current, voltage, power and accumulated energy consumption.

The AJ-SOCKET-B combines automation with electrical protection. It can operate according to schedules or react to Ajax system events, making it possible, for example, to switch equipment off when the security system is armed or control appliances according to environmental conditions. Its seven-colour LED frame provides a visual indication of the connected load, while integrated protection helps disconnect the power supply under abnormal electrical conditions. For advanced environmental automation, it can be combined with the Ajax LifeQuality temperature, humidity and CO₂ monitor.

The AJ-SOCKET-B is not a replacement part; it is intended for new installations or extensions of compatible Ajax systems. It is particularly suitable for professional installers who want to integrate remote power control, energy monitoring and automated electrical loads directly into the security system without adding a separate home automation platform. It can be integrated, for example, into a system based on the Ajax Hub 2 professional alarm control panel.
