The Televes 237574 Overlight Optical Transmitter converts terrestrial and satellite TV electrical signals into optical signals for efficient distribution over fibre. It provides a professional solution for delivering TV services to multiple users, simplifying the infrastructure while taking advantage of fibre optic TV distribution.
It operates within the Televes Overlight system using DWDM technology compliant with ITU-T G.694.1. The transmitter works on Channel 34 at 1550.12 nm, with 9 dBm optical output power and an SC/APC output. It receives terrestrial DAB/UHF signals and V/H signals from a WideBand LNB, with a satellite frequency range from 290 to 2340 MHz.
Its high output level makes it particularly suitable for professional installers designing collective distribution networks for four satellites and more than 64 users using optical amplification. Low losses and GPON/RFoG compatibility make it suitable for complex collective infrastructures while preserving signal quality. It is intended for new installations or extensions to existing optical networks and is not a specific replacement part.
