The Surmedia SMK6006V is a CAT6 UTP data cable designed for LAN networks, internet connections and IP video surveillance systems inside homes, offices and commercial premises. It is supplied in a 305-metre dispenser box with metre markings.

It features four twisted pairs, an internal PE separator and 0.57 mm solid CCA conductors. The cable delivers a rated performance of up to 350 MHz and supports Gigabit Ethernet speeds of up to 1 Gbps, provided that the channel, distances and terminations are suitable.

Its LSZH jacket, with low smoke emission and zero halogens, combined with a CPR Dca fire classification, improves cable behaviour in the event of fire. It is suitable for new installations, extensions and upgrades and can be terminated using compatible CAT6 RJ45 connectors.

The main limitation of the SMK6006V is its copper-clad aluminium conductor, which is not equivalent to solid copper where the project specification or applicable regulations require copper conductors. It is intended exclusively for indoor installation and should not be used outdoors or in regulated ICT networks requiring copper conductors.
