Practical applications for the Surmedia SMK6106 CAT6E UTP cable

Example 1: Gigabit network installation in a home or small commercial property

A professional installer can use the Surmedia SMK6106 to create links between a router, RJ45 outlets and a small communications cabinet. Its 100-metre length can be used to distribute network points for computers, games consoles, Smart TVs or wireless access points, supporting Ethernet connections at speeds of up to 1 Gbps when correctly installed and terminated.

Example 2: Cabling IP cameras and a network video recorder

In a shop, office or home, the cable can be used to connect IP cameras to a network switch and NVR. Its UTP construction, metre markings and 100-metre reel simplify cable routing and help installers keep track of the amount used. Analogue CCTV signals transmitted over UTP require compatible video baluns, which are not included.
