FireProtect 2 SB (Heat/CO) Jeweller: Heat and Carbon Monoxide Detection

The Ajax FireProtect 2 SB (Heat/CO) Jeweller in white provides protection against two critical hazards: temperature rises associated with fire and dangerous concentrations of carbon monoxide. Unlike other FireProtect models, this version does not include a smoke sensor, as it is specifically designed for heat and CO detection.

For fire detection, it uses two Class A1R thermistors located outside the enclosure to minimise detection delays. An alarm is triggered when the temperature exceeds +64 °C or when a rapid temperature rise of more than 10 °C within one minute is detected. Its integrated chemical sensor also monitors CO concentration to warn of dangerous levels of this invisible and odourless gas.

This Ajax wireless heat and CO detector uses Jeweller technology to communicate with an Ajax Hub 2 alarm control panel, providing a wireless communication range of up to 1,700 metres in an open space. Its built-in 85 dB siren provides an immediate local warning, while installations requiring extended radio coverage can be complemented with an Ajax ReX 2 wireless range extender. It is particularly suitable for installers who need heat and CO protection integrated into an Ajax system without optical smoke detection.

The SB version features two integrated lithium batteries with a service life of up to 10 years, helping to reduce periodic battery replacement and maintenance. Finished in white and designed for SmartBracket mounting, it is intended for new installations or extensions of compatible Ajax systems and is not a replacement part, providing a compact solution for protecting homes and businesses.
