The Ajax FireProtect 2 SB (Heat/CO) Jeweller provides protection against two critical indoor hazards: abnormal temperature increases and carbon monoxide accumulation. Its wireless operation, built-in siren and long-life batteries provide a reliable detection solution with reduced maintenance requirements.
Unlike other FireProtect 2 models, this version does not include a smoke sensor. It uses two A1R-class thermistors to trigger an alarm when the temperature exceeds +64 °C or rises by more than 10 °C within one minute, together with a dedicated chemical sensor for detecting dangerous CO concentrations.
The detector communicates via Jeweller wireless technology, providing a range of up to 1,700 metres in open space, and features a built-in 85 dB siren for local audible warning. It is particularly suitable for installers protecting kitchens, technical rooms or areas containing combustion equipment as part of a professional Ajax alarm system, where optical smoke detection is not required.
The SB (Sealed Batteries) version features two integrated lithium batteries with a service life of up to 10 years, helping minimise maintenance. It is designed for new installations and extensions of compatible Ajax systems; it is not a replacement part. If the project also requires optical smoke detection, a Ajax smoke, heat and CO detector from the same range can be used instead.
