The GTLAN 35GTEFAST mechanical splice is an accessory for aligning and connecting 2 optical fibers, both singlemode and multimode.

The mechanical joints hold the two optical fibers aligned for an indefinite period of time without any alteration.

The splice loss is stable over time and unchanged due to changes in environmental or mechanical conditions.

In case of variation and increase of loss, the splice can be reopened and the fibers be realigned. The realignment includes cleaning the end of the fiber, new cutting and reinserting it into the same or new splice.

The GTLAN 35GTETOOL tool is required for splicing.
